Abstract:
The present invention relates to a 5-halomethylfurfural production method involving a pretreatment step and, specifically, to a 5-halomethylfurfural production method whereby the yield of halomethylfurfural can be maximized by performing a pretreatment that improves the degree of solubilization of a sugar component before dehydration.
