Abstract:
Provided are a 5G communication method, a network side device and an access point. The 5G communication method comprises: a network side device in the 3G or a network side device in the 4G sending, to a 5G access point, a request message for requesting that wireless link information between the access point and a user equipment is configured; and then, receiving a first configuration message sent by the 5G access point and forwarding same to the user equipment so that the user equipment configures the wireless link information for communication between the user equipment and the 5G access point according to the first configuration message, wherein the network side device in the 3G or the network side device in the 4G assists 5G access, thereby reducing the costs of 5G comprehensive coverage.
