Abstract:
A high-speed general-purpose abnormal region detecting device for detecting presence/absence of an abnormality and its position with high accuracy by using the high-order local autocorrelation feature. The abnormal region detecting device comprises means for extracting feature data of each pixel from image data by high-order local autocorrelation, means for adding feature data on each pixel in a pixel group in a predetermined range including the pixel, means for computing an index indicating the abnormality of the feature data in comparison with the normality of a partial space exhibiting a normal region, means for judging if the region is abnormal or not on the basis of the index, and means for outputting the position of the pixel which is judged to be abnormal. A plurality of items of high order local autocorrelation feature data having different displacement widths may be extracted. The abnormal region detecting device may comprise means for determining a partial space representing a normal region depending on the main component vector by main component analysis scheme from the feature data. Abnormality judgment for each pixel is possible, and the position of an abnormal region can be accurately detected.
