Abstract:
Provided is a method for detecting the abnormality of an after turbo catalyst. The present invention relates to an abnormality detection method for an ATC (43) which causes fuel from a fuel injection device (10) which has received a post injection command from a control device (2) to undergo an oxidation reaction in an exhaust pipe (41) to increase the temperature of exhaust gas by the reaction heat thereof. The present invention is provided with an ATC inlet side temperature measurement means (42) for measuring the inlet side temperature of the ATC (43) and transmitting a measurement value to the control device (2), and an ATC downstream side temperature measurement means (44) for measuring the downstream side temperature of the ATC (43). The control device (2) determines the operation of the fuel injection device (10) when the downstream side temperature of the ATC (43) does not become higher than the inlet side temperature of the ATC (43) after transmitting the post injection command, and if the fuel injection device (10) is operating normally, determines that the ATC (43) is abnormal.
