Abstract:
Disclosed is abrasive cleaning equipment for a rolled steel article such that abrasive grains on the rolled steel article can be appropriately removed without using a rotary brush. The equipment is provided with a roller conveyor (1) which transfers the rolled steel article in a horizontal direction; a cabinet (2) which surrounds the rolled steel article on the conveyor (1) and constitutes an abrasive cleaning chamber; centrifugal abrasive grain projection devices (3, 4) which are installed in the cabinet (2) and project abrasive grains toward the rolled steel article; an abrasive grain dispersing means (5) for injecting compressed air to disperse abrasive grains upon the rolled steel article; and an abrasive grain recovery means (6) for performing an operation wherein abrasive grains that were projected by the centrifugal abrasive grain projection device (3) up on the rolled steel article, as well as abrasive grains that were dispersed from the rolled steel article by the abrasive grain dispersal means (5), are recovered, whereafter impurities are removed and the abrasive grains thus processed are sent to the centrifugal abrasive grain projection devices (3, 4).
