Abstract:
This absolute encoder comprises: a main shaft gear that rotates with a main shaft; a first magnet that rotates with the main shaft; a first magnetic sensor that detects a change in a magnetic flux generated by the first magnet; an idle gear that has a smaller number of teeth than the number of teeth of the main shaft gear and that rotates according to the rotation of the main shaft gear; a first secondary shaft disposed parallel to the main shaft; a first driven gear that is attached to the first secondary shaft and that meshes with the idle gear; a second magnet that rotates with the first secondary shaft; a second magnetic sensor that detects a change in a magnetic flux generated from the second magnet; a second secondary shaft disposed parallel to the main shaft; a second driven gear that is attached to the second secondary shaft, that has a different number of teeth from the number of the teeth of the first driven gear, and that meshes with the idle gear; a third magnet that rotates with the second secondary shaft; and a third magnetic sensor that detects a change in a magnetic flux generated from the third magnet.
