Abstract:
An absolute grating scale auxiliary installation and error compensation method, comprising the following steps: (1) a CMOS sensor reads both upper and lower sample windows (1, 3) when installing the CMOS sensor and a grating scale body; due to an included angle (Φ1) between the grating scale body and the CMOS sensor, there will be a difference (ΔL) between the readings of the upper and lower windows (1, 3); continuously adjusting the grating scale body or the CMOS sensor to minimize the difference of the readings so as to zero the included angle between the grating scale body and the CMOS sensor; (2) moving for a fixed displacement (Lmov) in a movement direction when installing the grating scale and a mechanical housing, recording the grating code reading (Xerr) to obtain the amount of error compensation as the error compensation value in the actual movement, and correcting the accumulated error value introduced by the included angle (Φ2) between the grating scale body and the movement direction. The method can automatically calculate a declination angle between the CMOS sensor and the grating scale body, correct a parallelism error, and provide error compensation when a parallelism error between the grating scale body and the reference direction cannot be corrected.
