Abstract:
The present invention is provided with the following: a primary-wavelength LED (105) that is capable of outputting light pulses of a predetermined primary wavelength (for example, 415 nm) towards a flow cell (100) through which a liquid being measured flows; and a secondary-wavelength LED (106) that is capable of outputting, towards said flow cell (100), light pulses of a secondary wavelength (for example, 500 nm) that differs from the aforementioned primary wavelength. The timing of the secondary-wavelength light pulses differs from the timing of the primary-wavelength light pulses. Photodiodes (112, 114) capable of detecting the respective amounts of light of the wavelengths outputted from the primary-wavelength LED (105) and the secondary-wavelength LED (106) transmitted through the flow cell (100) are also provided. Absorbance is computed on the basis of the difference between the transmitted amount of primary-wavelength light and the transmitted amount of secondary-wavelength light.
