Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article less apt to degradation in absorbing ability even after liquid flows into the absorbent article multiple times. Provided is an absorbent article having a length along the longitudinal direction and a width along the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, the article comprising: an absorber including an absorbent core that includes particles of SAP being a high absorbent polymer and short fibers and a core wrap sheet that is overlaid on the skin surface-side of the absorbent core and is adhered to the absorbent core; and a liquid-permeable top sheet provided on the skin surface-side of the absorber, wherein the short fibers and the particles of SAP on the skin surface-side of the absorbent core are adhered to the non-skin surface-side of the core wrap sheet, thereby forming a skin surface-side structure of the absorber, and wherein the basis weight of the short fibers forming the skin surface-side structure is 5 g/m2 to 90 g/m2 inclusive, and the basis weight of the particles of SAP forming the skin surface-side structure is 5 g/m2 to 160 g/m2 inclusive.
