Abstract:
An absorbent article production method for producing an absorbent article having a vertical direction and a horizontal direction that intersects the vertical direction, and equipped with a skin-side member (181) positioned on the skin side, a non-skin-side member (191) disposed on the non-skin side, and a plurality of rubber threads (141) positioned between the skin-side member (181) and the non-skin-side member (191), said production method comprising: a step in which a skin-side belt-shaped member (18) comprising a continuous belt-shaped arrangement of skin-side members (181) and a non-skin-side belt-shaped member (19) comprising a continuous belt-shaped arrangement of non-skin-side members (191) are transported in a transport direction, and while transporting said members, the plurality of rubber threads (141) are disposed between the skin-side belt-shaped member (18) and the non-skin-side belt-shaped member (19) while being stretched in the transport direction; a step in which a plurality of slits (15) are formed at locations differing in the vertical direction from the locations at which the rubber threads (141) are provided, after said step for disposing the plurality of rubber threads (141) between the skin-side belt-shaped member (18) and the non-skin-side belt-shaped member (19); and a step in which the skin-side member (181) and the non-skin-side member (191) are formed by simultaneously cutting the skin-side belt-shaped member (18) and the non-skin-side belt-shaped member (19), after said step for forming the plurality of slits (15).
