Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel absorbent article capable of regular torsional deformation. In order to solve such a problem, a sanitary napkin (1) is provided with a liquid-permeable top sheet (2), a liquid-impermeable back sheet (3), and an absorbent body (4) disposed between the top sheet (2) and the back sheet (3), wherein, in the top sheet (2), high-rigidity areas (22) and low-rigidity areas (21) are formed in a liquid supply area (20) for receiving a supply of liquid. Substantially straight first areas, which extend in a direction that intersects the longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin (1) and are arranged in a substantially parallel manner, are formed in the high-rigidity areas (22). Liquid-permeable holes (26) are formed in the low-rigidity areas (21) in such a manner that the rigidity of the low-rigidity areas (21) is lower than the rigidity of the high-rigidity areas (22).
