Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article that fits the crotch area of the wearer well, and allows an absorber to quickly and efficiently absorb bodily fluids. The present invention relates to an absorbent article that includes a folded second sheet (3). The folded second sheet (3) includes a reference portion positioned on a top sheet (2) side, and a first area and/or a second area that respectively extend from the ends of the reference portion. The areas each have a p number of mountain fold lines (where p is an integer of 1 or greater), and a q number of valley fold lines (where q is an integer of 0 or greater). In the folded second sheet (3), the reference portion and at least one mountain-fold-partitioned area adjacent to said mountain fold line, in a plan view, extend in the width direction across a center line extending in the lengthwise direction of the absorbent article, and also extend in the lengthwise direction across a center line extending in the widthwise direction of the absorbent article.
