Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to increase the air permeability of a region in the vicinity of leg openings of an absorbent article while maintaining the effect of preventing leakage of liquid. This absorbent article is provided with: leg openings (35) disposed on both widthwise-direction W sides, the leg openings (35) being disposed around the legs of a wearer when worn; and a leakage-preventing sheet (60a) provided on the non-skin side from an absorbent body (40), the leakage-preventing sheet (60a) extending further outward in the widthwise direction W than does the absorbent body (40). At least the leg openings (35) are provided with moisture-permeable sheets (64), (70) having higher moisture permeability than does the leakage-preventing sheet (60a), the moisture-permeable sheets (64), (70) being provided on the skin side of the leakage-preventing sheet (60a). The moisture-permeable sheets (64), (70) have a junction part joined to the leakage-preventing sheet (60a), and an inside gather (74) that can rise from the leakage-preventing sheet (60a), the inside gather (74) not being joined to the leakage-preventing sheet. The inside gather (74) extends outward in the widthwise direction W from a rise base point (B1). The inside gather (74) has a first elastic member (75) that expands and contracts in a longitudinal direction (L).
