Abstract:

This absorbent article (1) is provided with a hip hold unit (H) and with a main body (8) comprising a liquid permeable front surface sheet (3), a liquid impermeable back surface sheet (2) and an absorbent body (4) provided between the front surface sheet and the back surface sheet, wherein the main body has a shape with a prescribed length in the front-back direction and a prescribed width in the direction perpendicular to the front-back direction. In a lateral region protruding from the rear lateral part of the main body, the hip hold unit comprises a first protrusion (41) which includes the section of the main body with the greatest width from the front-back centerline, a first recess (51) which is forwardly adjacent to the first protrusion, and a second protrusion (42) which is forwardly adjacent to the first recess. The outline of the first recess comprises a curve, and stiff areas (70), which include one or multiple stiff parts (60) that have been stiffened, are provided on a first imaginary line passing through the bottom point of the first recess and the center of the curvature circle at the bottom point of the first recess.
