Abstract:
The present invention provides an absorbent article that is capable of, while firmly preventing lateral leakage of an excreted liquid, also rendering leakage thereof from the back side in the longitudinal direction to be unlikely to occur. This absorbent article is provided with: an absorbent body (2) that is provided with an absorber (21); and a pair of leak-proof wall parts, wherein each of the leak-proof wall parts has a base (41), a first wall (42), a second wall (43), and a liquid flow control part (Fc) that is configured by including a first joint (44) and a second joint (45), and the absorber (21) is positioned within the absorbent body (2) such that, in a plan view, the edge on the back region side in the longitudinal direction is positioned longitudinally outside an inside edge (45Ei) positioned furthest inside in the longitudinal direction among inside edges in the width direction of the second joint (45), and such that both edges in the width direction of the absorber (21) are positioned outside of, in the width direction, the inside edges in the width direction of the base (41) in at least a back region (AB).
