Abstract:
Provided is an absorbent article that can secure a larger area for absorbing bodily fluids on the gluteal side when the absorbent article is worn. This absorbent article (10) has: a length (L); a width (W) perpendicular to the front-rear direction; a front waist region (S1); a rear waist region (S2); a crotch region (S3) disposed between the front waist region and the rear waist region; and an absorbent core (51) provided in at least the crotch region. In the crotch region, a fold line (FL) wherealong the absorbent article is folded in two extends in the width direction. A high-rigidity region (HR) is provided in a region which is located to the rear of the fold line and includes the widthwise center. The high-rigidity region is defined by a region which has a higher rigidity than a region between the fold line (FL) and the high-rigidity region (HR). The length along the front-rear direction of the high-rigidity region (HR) is greater than the length (L1) from the fold line to the front end of the high-rigidity region.
