Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article which can be worn and removed easily, and which minimizes the sense of discomfort experienced by the wearer. The present invention is an absorbent article, comprising: an absorbent positioned beneath the crotch of the wearer; a layered body which sandwiches the absorbent between a plurality of layered sheets, and which can form a waist opening through which the waist of the wearer can be passed, and lower limb openings through which the lower limbs of the wearer can be passed; and an contracting portion which stretches the waist opening by means of elastic members provided to the layered body in a stretched state along at least part of the waist opening. The contracting portion has a difference in elastic force of the waist opening observed when the waist opening is deformed in the clamping direction with respect to the elastic force of the waist opening observed when the waist opening is deformed in the spreading direction, that does not exceed 1.2 N.
