Abstract:
An absorbent article is desired that is easily placed properly in the groin of a wearer. This absorbent article (10) has: a front-back direction (L) and a width direction (W) that are orthogonal to each other; a crotch area (S3) that includes a middle portion in the front-back direction, a front-side area (S1) that is situated forward of the crotch area, and a rear-side area (S2) that is situated rearward of the crotch area; and an absorbent core (50) that is disposed at least in the crotch area and the front-side area. The absorbent core is provided with: a pair of side slits (52) that extend in the front-back direction in the crotch area (S3); and a deformation inducing part (54) that extends outward in the width direction toward a front side in the front-side area. The deformation inducing part has a width narrower than that of the side slits.
