Abstract:
The present invention provides an absorbent article comprising a main body that includes a liquid permeable top sheet on the upper side, a liquid impermeable back sheet on the lower side, and an absorbent body which is provided between the top sheet and the back sheet, wherein: side sheets are disposed at both side parts of the main body; the absorbent article further comprises a pair of wings extending outward from the main body in the width direction; each of the wings is mainly formed by joining a portion of the back sheet to a portion of each of the side sheets; in a state in which the wings are folded to the lower side during attachment, the side sheets surround the respective folding lines of the fold to form arched parts each having an annular cross section at an arbitrary position in the front-back direction including the both end positions in the front-back direction; and the outer edges of the arched parts in the width direction are positioned outward of the respective folding lines in the width direction.
