Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to realize an electrolytic capacitor-free AC-DC converter of a small-capacity DC link capacitor. This AC-DC converter 100 includes: a rectifier circuit 10 that rectifies an AC voltage and generates a rectified voltage; a step-down circuit 20 that steps down the rectified voltage; an inductor 30; a buffer circuit 40 that generates a DC voltage from the rectified voltage and includes an asymmetrical full bridge circuit obtained by combining, with a capacitor interposed therebetween, a front-stage half bridge composed of a first diode and a first switch and a rear-stage half bridge composed of a second diode and a second switch; and a step-up circuit 50 that steps up the voltage of the buffer circuit 40.
