Abstract:
An AC electric vehicle includes: a converter (3) which converts an AC voltage inputted from an AC overhead wire via a transformer (2), into a DC voltage; an inverter (4) which converts the DC voltage into an AC voltage; and a motor (6) driven and controlled by the inverter (4). A control device of the AC electric vehicle includes: torque instruction calculation units (11, 12) which calculate a torque instruction value of the motor (6) and output the calculated value to the inverter (4); and an auxiliary power supply device (7) which supplies power to a load mounted on the AC electric vehicle. When no voltage is applied to the converter (3), a regenerative brake torque instruction calculation unit (11) calculates a regenerative torque instruction value TRQ1 based on the power consumption in the auxiliary power supply device (7) and the inverter (4) supplies a regenerative power generated by the motor (6) to the auxiliary power supply device (7) in accordance with the regenerative torque instruction value TRQ1.
