Abstract:
Disclosed is an AC generator for a vehicle, the AC generator being provided with: a Lundell-type rotor; and a stator comprising a laminated core which is disposed at the outer peripheral side of the Lundell-type rotor to face the Lundell-type rotor with a rotation gap therebetween, and which has an armature coil wound therearound. The Lundell-type rotor has a pair of rotor cores, and the rotor cores (112R) comprise: a cylindrical part (112a) around which a field coil is wound; plate-shaped end plate parts (112b) arranged so as to axially face both end surfaces of the cylindrical part (112a); and a plurality of claw magnetic pole parts (112c) extending from the end plate parts (112b) in a parallel manner in the direction of the axis of rotation. Each of the claw magnetic pole parts (112c) has a bevel (1120) which is formed in a rear edge region of the outer peripheral surface of the claw magnetic pole part in the direction of rotation, and which constitutes an inclined surface that is inclined toward the inner peripheral side of the claw magnetic pole part (112c). The angle of inclination of the bevel (1120) is set to be between 10 degrees and 16 degrees.
