Abstract:
An AC rail welding machine includes a hydraulic pump (1), a generator (2), an engine (4), a single-phase transformer (8) and a pair of welding electrodes (9). The generator (2) is driven by the engine (4). The hydraulic pump (1) is driven by the generator (2). The generator (2) is electrically connected with the primary winding of the single-phase transformer (8). The secondary winding of the single-phase transformer (8) is electrically connected with the welding electrodes (9). The engine (4) includes a governor (5). The generator (2) is a single-phase magneto generator and includes a front input shaft and a rear output shaft. The front input shaft is mechanically connected with the main shaft of the engine (4), whilst the rear output shaft is mechanically connected with the hydraulic pump (1). The AC rail welding machine has a simple structure, effective reduction in energy consumption and low cost.
