Abstract:
Provided is an acceleration device which can be downsized, which has a simple structure, and the torque characteristics of which can be easily changed. The acceleration device is provided with a housing (20); a grip side rotation body (1a) which is rotated by accelerator operation; a friction member (16) which comprises a contact section (16c) that comes into contact with the grip side rotation body (1a), thereby providing resistance due to friction; a force exerting member (17) which is connected to the housing (20) with this friction member (16) therebetween, which is also connected to the grip side rotation body (1a), and which biases the grip side rotation body (1a) so that the same will be rotated toward an initial position side; and a restraint section (19) which is provided in the housing (20), which comes into contact with the friction member (16), and which restrains the friction member (16) from rotating due to the exerting force of the force exerting member (17). The friction member (16) is biased by the force exerting member (17) in the direction in which the contact section (16c) is pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the rotation body (1a), with the restraint section (19) serving as a support point.
