Abstract:
Provided is an acceleration sensor module having a posture determination function by which a posture of a device to which the module is attached can be easily detected at a comparatively low cost. A X-axis acceleration level assessment unit (9) assesses whether a X-axis acceleration signal output from a three-axis acceleration sensor (3) is a value equal to or larger than a predetermined positive threshold level (+VRx), a value equal to or lower than a predetermined negative threshold level (-VRx), a value between the positive threshold level (+VRx) and the 0 level, or a value between the 0 level and the negative threshold level (-VRx). Further, a Y-axis acceleration level assessment unit (11) performs a similar assessment regarding a Y-axis acceleration signal output from the three-axis acceleration sensor (3). A posture assessment unit (13) assesses a rotation posture around the Z-axis of the device to which the three-axis acceleration sensor (3) is attached, on the basis of the assessment results of the X-axis acceleration level assessment unit (9) and the Y-axis acceleration level assessment unit (11).
