Abstract:
A traffic condition acquisition unit (11) acquires a traffic condition of vehicles on a running road, a road surface state estimation unit (10b) estimates a road surface state of the running road, and a probe data acquisition unit (10d) acquires a running speed of a vehicle running on the running road. A site of concern decision unit (10a) decides on a site of concern on the basis of the traffic condition of the vehicles. An accident avoidance speed estimation unit (10c) estimates an accident avoidance speed with respect to a vehicle running upstream of the site of concern in accordance with the estimated road surface state of the site of concern. A drive assistance necessity determination unit (10e) determines the necessity of drive assistance depending on whether the running speed of the vehicle running upstream of the site of concern acquired by the probe data acquisition unit (10d) exceeds the accident avoidance speed estimated by the accident avoidance speed estimation unit (10c).
