Abstract:
A novel compound with a uric acid generation inhibiting action is provided. The present invention pertains to an acetylene derivative indicated in formula (I), a prodrug thereof, or a salt of same, that has a xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity and is useful as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for diseases caused by an abnormal serum urate level. In formula (I): R1 is a hydrogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl, or a C3-8 cycloalkyl, etc.; M is a C6-10 aryl or 5- or 6-membered cyclic heteroaryl; Q is carboxy, etc.; Y independently represents a hydroxyl group or a C1-12 alkyl, etc.; and n is 1 or 2. The group represented by -W-M is a group etc., represented by formula (A), wherein: T is cyano, etc.; and R2 is a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, a C1-6 alkyl, or a C1-6 alkoxy, etc.
