Abstract:
An achromatic lens system etc. which is light in weight and easy to manufacture
and which can satisfactorily corrects the spherical aberration along with the
chromatic aberration. The achromatic lens system is characterized in that
it has a cemented plastic lens which is fabricated by joining a plastic lens (L11)
having a positive refracting power to a plastic lens (L12) having a negative refracting
power and has a positive refracting power as a whole and a contact multilayer diffractive
optical element (L11E), the diffractive optical device (L11E) is located nearer
to the image than the cemented plastic lens, the diffractive optical device (L11E)
is constituted by joining two diffractive device elements (DE11, DE12) made
of different optical materials, and the joining surface of the elements is a diffractive
optical surface (Gf) having diffractive grating grooves formed thereon.
