Abstract:
The disclosed acoustic-feel adjustment device can appropriately adjust how sound reflects above a sound source, providing an acoustic feel close to that of a high-ceilinged space without large-scale engineering work such as the provision of sound-absorbing materials on the ceiling. A sound-absorbing body (10) supported by a mount (20) is provided above musicians (80) or other subjects, in the middle of a propagation path by which sound from a sound source such as instruments (70) reflects off the ceiling (50) of the room and returns to the aforementioned subjects. Said sound-absorbing body helps prevent a state in which sound emitted from the sound source reflects off the ceiling (50) and then returns as is to the subjects. The manner in which and degree to which sound reaches the subjects from above is thus made similar to that in a space with a ceiling significantly higher than that of the aforementioned room. Even in an ordinary indoor space, the subjects can thus be provided with an acoustic feel that is extremely close to that of an actual performance space with a high ceiling, such as a hall. Consequently, even in a room with an ordinary structure, subjects practicing for an instrumental, vocal, or other performance can be provided with a practice environment that differs little from the actual performance space, making the actual performance feel more comfortable.
