Abstract:
Provided is an acoustic wave device which has a configuration wherein a capacitance electrode is connected to an IDT electrode on a piezoelectric substrate, and which is able to increase the Q value of a capacitance element that is composed of the capacitance electrode. In this acoustic wave device (1), an IDT electrode (3) and a capacitance electrode (6) electrically connected to the IDT electrode (3) are arranged on a piezoelectric substrate (2), and the capacitance electrode (6) comprises a first comb-tooth electrode (6a) and a second comb-tooth electrode (6b). The first and second comb-tooth electrodes (6a, 6b) are configured such that an acoustic wave excited at least at a portion of the capacitance electrode (6) cancels with an acoustic wave excited at least at a portion of the other portion, at least at a portion of the frequency bands.
