Abstract:
An acoustic wave element 1 comprises an IDT electrode 3 provided with a first electrode finger 32a and a second electrode finger 32b which are connected to mutually different potentials and are arranged spaced apart from each other. When a central area Ac is assumed which does not include distal end portions 34 of the electrode fingers 32 and which includes a portion where the electrode fingers 32 interdigitate with one another, the first electrode finger 32a, the second electrode finger 32b, and a second dummy electrode 33b are greater in thickness and smaller in width on a second bus bar 31b side of the central area Ac than the electrode fingers 32 in the central area Ac.
