Abstract:
The present invention relates to an acrylic fiber for artificial hair, which comprises an acrylic polymer, wherein the acrylic polymer contains acrylonitrile, vinyl chloride and/or vinylidene chloride and a sulfonic-acid-group-containing vinyl monomer in amounts of 29.5 to 79.5% by mass, 20 to 70% by mass and 0.5 to 5% by mass, respectively, relative to the whole mass of the acrylic polymer, the acrylic fiber for artificial hair contains a condensed phosphate salt, and the content of the condensed phosphate salt in the acrylic fiber for artificial hair is 0.05 to 0.57% by mass. Thus, provided are: an acrylic fiber for artificial hair, which comprises an acrylic polymer produced by copolymerizing acrylonitrile with vinyl chloride and/or vinylidene chloride, has a good sensation upon touch and good gloss, and rarely undergoes the generation of odiferous components during heating; a method for producing the acrylic fiber for artificial hair; and a head decoration article containing the acrylic fiber for artificial hair.
