Abstract:
Provided are an acrylic rubber having excellent water resistance and a method for producing the same. An acrylic rubber including 70-99.9 wt% of bonding units derived from a (meth)acrylic acid ester, 0.1-10 wt% of bonding units derived from a crosslinkable monomer, and, if necessary, 0-20 wt% of bonding units derived from another monomer, wherein the ash content is 0.5 wt% or lower, the total amount of magnesium and phosphorus in the ash is 30 wt% or higher and the weight ratio ([Mg]/[P]) of magnesium and phosphorus is 0.4-2.5, and the Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100°C) is 10-150, has especially excellent water resistance, and a crosslinked rubber product using the same also has good properties.
