Abstract:
Provided are an image recording method and an active energy ray-curable inkjet ink that includes metal particles, a polymerizable compound and a polymerization inhibitor. The metal particles have a specific gravity of at least 3. In a cross-section of an ink film of at least 1 μm thickness, obtained by curing a fluid that has the metal particle content of the active energy ray-curable inkjet ink adjusted to 0.5 mass%, at least 50% by mass of the total mass of metal particles is present in a region within 100 nm from the surface of the ink film towards the interior of the ink film. The surface tension is at least 30 mN/m.
