Abstract:
An anode is connected to a conductive plate (140) formed to cover a TFT (120) in a pixel forming section (110), and a diode (130) wherein a cathode is connected to an image signal line is arranged.  When the potential of an image signal transmitted to the image signal line is lower than that of the conductive plate (140), a current flows in the diode (130) and the potential of the conductive plate (140) becomes equivalent to that of the image signal line.  When the potential of the image signal is higher than that of the conductive plate (140), since a current does not flow, the potential of the diode (130) is held with no change.  As a result, the potential of the conductive plate (140) is clamped at the lowest potential among the potentials of the image signals.  Therefore, when the TFT (120) is in the off-state, a leak current flowing from a pixel electrode (Ep) in the pixel forming section (110) to the image signal line is suppressed.  Thus an active matrix substrate wherein, a change of the off-characteristics of the TFT is suppressed even when a conductive time is long is provided.
