Abstract:

An active matrix substrate is provided with a second capacitance electrode (37) electrically connected to a first pixel electrode (17a), and a first capacitance electrode (77) electrically connected to a second pixel electrode (17b). The second capacitance electrode (37) is arranged in a layer between the first capacitance electrode (77) and the second pixel electrode (17b), and the first capacitance electrode (77) and the second capacitance electrode (37) overlap each other with a gate insulating film therebetween, thus, a coupling capacitance is formed between the first capacitance electrode (77) and the second capacitance electrode (37). The second capacitance electrode (37) and the second pixel electrode (17b) overlap each other with an interlayer insulating film therebetween, thus, a coupling capacitance is formed between the second capacitance electrode (37) and the second pixel electrode (17b). With such constitution, the aperture ratio of the active matrix substrate of a capacitively-coupled pixel-division type is improved.
