Title:
ACTIVE METAL MICROSPHERES AND COMPOSITE EMBOLIC AGENT BASED ON SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/083102
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of medicines, and provides a lipiodol-based active metal microsphere or nano-hydride composite embolic agent, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The composite embolic agent of the present invention is composed of lipiodol and active metal microspheres or a nano-hydride, wherein the lipiodol serves as a dispersant and a protectant, and can decrease the rate of reaction of the active metal microspheres or the nano-hydride with water. A preparation method for the active metal microspheres and the nano-hydride involved in the present invention is simple and can achieve mass preparation in a short time. The composite embolic agent prepared in the present invention is locally delivered to liver cancer tissue by means of interventional operation, and the lipiodol is deposited on the liver cancer tissue to cause embolization; meanwhile, in situ release of hydrogen from an active metal or hydride induces hydrogen therapy, thereby amplifying the embolization effect. The composite embolic agent of the present invention uses an active metal or hydride to release hydrogen, hydroxide and the like in situ to regulate tumor microenvironment, showing a better combined embolization effect than simple lipiodol embolization.
