Abstract:
An active optical cable is disclosed. Provided in the present embodiment is an active optical cable, which can improve optical coupling efficiency by increasing current-optical output linearity without a complex structure since it is unnecessary to have a separate monitoring photodetector applied to a general optical transceiver, form a library for transmission/reception electro-optical properties at both ends of a module so as to reduce power consumption by enabling an optical output from a light source included in an optical transceiver to maintain high linearity in a wide temperature range, and apply a multi-level PAM technique having a level of 4 or higher.
