Description:

ACTUATION CYCLE SENSOR WITH MAGNETIC SPRING

The present report has the detailed description along with illustrative pictures of a new motion sensor, which enables the detection of motion actuation cycles in general, especially vertically, its signal can be used by any electric or electronic device.

Some sensors already commercially available can not measure in a simple, dynamic and non-evasive way a determined vertical movement that a system might suffer. The device presented here has the objective of being sensitive to any movement, where its signal can be transmitted to another monitoring device.

One of the applications of this device is its own use in the monitoring and control of actuation and/or movement cycles, of any system that moves in a way that you can obtain a correct count of the movement cycles.

Thus, being able to have a control system for the preventive maintenance of the mentioned system and its components.

In the market there are several models of magnetic sensors destined to several types of controls applied to monitoring systems in general, such as these:

The DE102005008641 , describes a sensor that registers the angular position of, for example, a vehicle's butterfly valve shaft, using a mounted magnet and a sensor, with a rotating component that attaches the magnetic field between them, where the angular position of the rotating component (18) is detected indirectly by a magnetic field sensor (14) aided by a magnetic conductor component (16). This concentrates the field of a magnet (12), over the sensor. In a new picture, this component (16) is relatively moved

in relation to the magnet and to the sensor. The magnet and sensor are fixed in one position, considering that the component is mechanically attached with the rotating component. It is a spring (24).

The DE102005004908, Actuator Cylinder having a rubber or coil inductively charged or a magnetic position sensor attached into a fitting of a guide inside a dwelling. Describes an actuator cylinder having a rubber or coil inductively charged or a position sensor with inductive or magnetic piston (5) still (6) attached in a guiding notch fitting (2) inside a dwelling (10) or fitted by pressure, casted or tightening in an integral way with the dwelling. Independent claims are included for industrial procedures used for the actuator's assembly.

The US7046002, Magnetic sensor with variable sensibility. Describes a device of a micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) system comprising a basic structure; having a magnetic sensor attached to the basic structure and operable by sensing a magnetic field and allowing a continuous variation of the magnetic field's amplification in the magnetic sensor's position; and by receiving a DC voltage and a AC voltage modulation in the MEMS device; a pair of flow concentrators attached to the magnetic sensor; and a pair of electrostatic directional combs, each attached to a respective flow concentrator, when the pair of electrostatic directional combs are excited by a modulating electric signal, each flow concentrator oscillates linearly to a prescribed frequency; and a pair of polarized members (mechanical spring connectors) connect the flow concentrators to each other.

The WO2005071360, Passive magnetic position sensor. Reveals a passive magnetic position sensor including contact spring elements (5, 6) that can be moved close to the resistance device (4) with the help of a magnet (2)

and is build with two latches (10, 11) by which the mentioned contact spring elements (5, 6) make a contact (7). The magnet (2) is skilled to tighten both latches (10, 11) against the contact (7). If one of the latches (10, 11) is prevented to make contact as a result of the contact (7) being dirty (12), the other latch (10, 11) is used for the contact and thus provide the position sensor a high redundancy.

The DE102004001788, Axial position adjustment arrangement for a sensor mounted in a notch, specially a magnetic approximation sensor including a spring element that is connected to a dwelling sensor and is adjusted using a tensioning screw. Describe an arrangement for an axial adjustment of a sensor without contact, specially a magnetic field sensor positioned in a guiding notch (2). The sensor is mounted in a casing (4) with a clamp. The clamp has a spring element and a tensioning screw. The spring surrounds the sensor's attachment section of the casing in a way that the sensor and its spring element occupy the guiding notch. The spring is adjusted with the tensioning screw in a way that the sensor is attached in a desired position in the notch. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is constituted of a attachment element for the axial ascension of a sensor in a guiding notch.

The EP0678727, Magnetic position sensor with contact for the determination of distance between two components. Describe a measurement device that contains two components relatively mutually movable united by a elastomer pneumatic spring (21) one of which (22) has at least one magnet (25). The other component (23) has a magnetic field sensor (28) that is closed by a w.r.t. magnet arrangement (27) which is positioned asymmetrically. The magnetic field sensor is placed on top of plain (E) of field line emanations of the

magnet arrangement. The changes in the magnetic field discovered by the magnetic field sensor are converted into a proportional electric control signal by a processor that can activate changes in an exit pneumatic compressor to make up for the changes in the separation component. It is still the US2004130319, Passive magnetic position sensor.

Refers to a passive magnetic position sensor that includes a substrate (1) with a resistance chain (2) that is mounted in this substrate (19) and is assigned a contact spring structure (8) that can be deflected by the action of a permanent magnet (11), with electric connection between the resistance chain (2) and the contact spring structure (8) being established by contact that is dependent on the position of the permanent magnet (11), the contact spring structure (8) and the resistance structure (2) being placed in a hermetically sealed casing (1 , 12) and the permanent magnet (11) being movable out of the hermetically sealed casing (1 , 12). In the case of a position sensor with improved magnetic field of the permanent magnet (11), the permanent magnet (11) is polarized in the movement direction of the contact spring structure (8), a flow device that guides (14, 15a, 15b) by the increase in concentration of the attraction force of the non- disturbed magnetic field, that is placed near the permanent magnet (11).

As noticed above, in some documents found from the Status of

Technique, and still performing more searches, there are several magnetic sensor models in the market destined to several types of control and many applications in movement monitoring system. Although, there is not a magnetic sensor specific or destined for the application in the cycle control and monitoring of a system in general and/or its components, in special for the

vertical movement control that contains the configuration and functioning characteristics of the cycle sensor here presented.

Furthermore, some already commercially available sensors can not measure in a simple, dynamic and non-evasive way a determined vertical movement that a system might suffer. The device presented here has the purpose of being sensitive to any movement, which its signal can be transmitted to another monitoring device.

Sensing the necessity of having a sensor that can detect de actuation cycles for such purpose, is why it was researched, idealized and fulfilled ACTUATION CYCLES SENSOR WITH MAGNETIC SPRING, object of the present patent.

Next, reference to the figures that accompanies this descriptive report, for greater understanding and illustration of what is seen:

In Figure 1 a schematic of the direction of motion detection, using the motion sensor device with magnetic spring, object of the present patent.

In Figure 2 a schematic of the motion sensor device with magnetic spring, object of the present patent.

In Figure 3 illustrates the block diagram of functioning of the vertical movement monitoring device, with the use of the motion sensor with magnetic spring, object of the present patent.

Next it will be described in a non-restrictive preferential way of assembling the present motion monitoring device in general, and specially vertically, object of the patent, where the configuration and application can vary in the adequate form for each desired application; describing one of the

constructive possibilities that lead to making the described object and the way it works possible.

The Actuation Cycle Sensor with Magnetic Spring, object of the present patent, is an electro-electronic device, placed strategically in the system where the detection of actuation movements of a determined movement is desired, especially vertically. Consisted basically of four main mechanical and electro-electronic components, they are: a magnet sensor (1) which is placed in a guide tube (2), which possesses one of the extremities shut and the other a lid (3), where a repulsing magnet is inserted (4), making a closed set. This set must be assembled in a way that the polarities of the magnets are inverted, generating a magnetic repulsion field between the magnets, or simply making a magnetic spring. Externally to the guide tube (2) a magnetic field sensor is positioned (5), with the purpose of detecting the presence of a magnetic field of the sensor magnet (1) when its starts oscillating due to the imposed excitement. The magnetic sensor (5) every time that it detects, that the magnetic field of the sensor magnet (1) is present in its measurement area, it processes this information and sends an electric signal through a electric terminal, that is logged and processed according to the system is found in.

With this cycle sensor device with magnetic spring used in a motion monitoring system is possible to monitor the cycles of a vertical movement of a determined component or the entire system. Enabling control of the preventive maintenance of the system and its components, providing greater safety and reliability for the user, so this way, accidents by the wear of the components of a determined system can be avoided.

Therefore, by the configuration and function characteristics described above, it can be clearly noticed that the ACTUATION CYCLES

SENSOR WITH MAGNETIC SPRING, it is a new equipment for the status of the technique, which has the innovation conditions, industrial application and inventive activity, that entitles the privilege of Invention Patent.
