An actuator for a brake device is disclosed. An actuator according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a motor; a housing for receiving a power connection unit and a reduction gear unit; and a cover covering an open upper part of the housing and including a shaft support unit, wherein the reduction gear unit comprises: a worm wheel including a reception groove concavely formed on the upper surface thereof and a locking rib provided on the reception groove; a sun gear including a support rib supported by the bottom of the reception groove to be relatively rotatable and thus able to come into contact with the locking rib when rotating; and a clutch spring slippably provided, in a wound state, on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft support unit, and capable of selectively tightening or loosening the outer circumferential surface of the shaft support unit according to a rotation direction when the worm wheel and the sun gear rotate relative to each other.
