Abstract:
Provided is an actuator equipped with a failure detection sensor that makes it easy to detect a failure of a linear guide unit and/or ball screw unit using the same sensor. An actuator (10) is provided with a linear guide unit (4) that guides a movable body (1) to move rectilinearly, and a ball screw unit (7) that drives the movable body (1) in the axial direction of a threaded shaft (6), wherein a sensor (18) for detecting a failure of the actuator (10) is disposed in a housing (11) that accommodates a coupling (12) that couples the threaded shaft (6) and a motor (14) that rotates the threaded shaft (6).
