Abstract:
A Hall IC of an actuator calculates a relative angle using magnetic flux densities in two directions, and corrects linearity error in the relative angle by using a function for calculating the interpolation correction value between correction points stored in a memory unit and the correction value for each correction point. The memory unit stores, as the correction value for the outermost correction point in the relative angle range, a correction value Lα, Lβ at which the linearity error (L1, L3), which is the outermost extreme value from among a plurality of extreme values indicated by the linearity error of the relative angle when corrected by an interpolation correction value calculated from a function in which said corrective value is used as a parameter, is equal to or smaller than the linearity error (L2, L4), which is the next outermost extreme value.
