Abstract:
Provided are an actuator (1) and a panel speaker that are capable of suppressing damage to a coil (50), etc., when a movable body (3) is displaced as a result of external force. Recessed sections (76) are formed in the corners of the movable body (3) in the actuator (1). A support body (2) has pillar-shaped sections (22) positioned inside the recessed sections (76) and stopper mechanisms that restrict the inclination of the movable body (3) are configured by a groove (77) in the recessed sections (76) and a plate section (23) of the pillar-shaped sections (22). The recessed sections (76) have: a second direction surface (78) facing a second direction X; and a third direction surface (79) facing a third direction Y. The second direction surfaces (78) and the third direction surfaces (79) are convex surfaces curved so as to protrude towards the pillar-shaped sections (22) along a first direction Z. As a result, the second direction surfaces (78) and the third direction surfaces (79) are not in contact with the pillar-shaped sections (22) when the movable body (3) is inclined as a result of external force, thereby allowing a certain amount of inclination by the movable body (3) until the stopper mechanism operates.
