Abstract:
Disclosed is an actuator for a parking brake, according to the present invention. According to one aspect of the present invention, provided is the actuator for a parking brake, comprising: a motor for generating a driving force; a reduction gear part for delivering the driving force of the motor to a parking part for implementing a parking brake of a vehicle; a locking part for restricting the rotation of the reduction gear part; and a housing for accommodating the motor, the reduction gear part, and the locking part. The locking part comprises: a locking gear which is coupled to the reduction gear part and rotates with same; a lever provided to be able to engage with the locking gear via hinged movement; an elastic member for elastically supporting the lever towards the locking gear; and an electromagnetic member which spaces the lever away from the locking gear by generating an electromagnetic force when a power source is applied.
