Abstract:
An actuator having a boot for preventing the entry of an object along the surface of
an output shaft. The actuator has a circular tube-like plate having at one end a
flange for engaging with an end of the boot and fitted over the output shaft, and also
has a projection formed over the outer surface of the output shaft so as to hold
the plate. A breathing hole for interconnecting the inside and outside of the
boot is formed between the output shaft and the plate.
