Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an actuator which has a simple configuration, is compact, and is configured so that a drive member can be reliably retained at a predetermined position. [Solution] An actuator (21) has: an electric motor (26); a power transmission mechanism (28) including a worm (33) which is provided to the rotating shaft (27) of the motor and a worm wheel (34) which meshes with the worm; a drive member (29) connected to the rotating shaft of the motor through the power transmission mechanism and displaced according to the rotation of the rotating shaft of the motor; restriction means (43, 47) for restricting the rotational range of the rotating shaft of the motor between an initial position and a driven position; and a spiral spring (41) provided to the rotating shaft of the motor and pressing the rotating shaft of the motor to the initial position. When electric power is supplied to the electric motor, the rotating shaft of the motor rotates to the driven position against the pressing force of the spiral spring, and when the supply of the electric power is stopped, the rotating shaft of the motor is pressed by the pressing means and rotated to the initial position.
