Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a fiber (111), and a temperature adjustment device (130) capable of heating and/or cooling the fiber. The fiber is twisted along the periphery of the long axis of the fiber. The fiber is folded such that the fiber has a cylindrical coil shape. The fiber is formed of a linear low-density polyethylene, and formula (I): D/d<1 is satisfied, where D represents the average diameter of the cylindrical coil, and d represents the diameter of the fiber. Consequently, according to the present invention, an actuator having a high displacement ratio is provided.
