Abstract:
In this actuator, a shaft and a workpiece are prevented from taking more than the necessary load. This actuator is provided with a force sensor which gives an output corresponding to the force applied to a connection member connected to the shaft, an amplifier which amplifies output of the force sensor, and a low pass filter. Until the shaft or a member that follows the shaft contacts another member, the load applied to the shaft is detected on the basis of output from the amplifier, and thereafter, the load on the shaft is detected on the basis of output from the low-pass filter.
