 The present invention discloses an enzyme acyl-ACP thioesterase comprising the amino acid sequence of nos. 72 to 233 of sequence 1, and an acyl-ACP thioesterase gene that encodes this protein, a transformant containing this gene, and a method for producing a lipid using this transformant.
