Abstract:
An adapter is provided with: a first mounting section which enables a camera body to be attached/detached; a second mounting section which is provided separately from the first mounting section and enables a replacement lens to be attached/detached; and an input unit which enables information relating to the replacement lens to be input, without involving the replacement lens. An adapter control unit prepares body transmission lens information which is sent to the camera body, on the basis of information relating to the replacement lens which has been input from the input unit.
